Get to know Nuremberg

Highlights in the old town

Nuremberg is known worldwide for its Christmas market, Albrecht Dürer and Nuremberg sausages. But the city has much more to offer: On an entertaining 90-minute walk with an expert guide, you will not only discover the postcard motifs of the Pegnitz metropolis, but also gain fascinating insights into its past. The tour leads from the Executioner's house along the Pegnitz to the main market square with the Frauenkirche (Church of our Lady), on to the historic town hall and the famous St Sebald's Church and finally back through the Weißgerbergasse (lane of the white tanners) which was spared the destruction of the war, over the Maxbrücke and the most beautiful part of the old town.
